and beyond that are utilized by graduate students at Berkeley. The Natural
Reserve System of the University of California manages 35 reserves that
encompass more than 135,000 acres across twelve ecological regions and is
the largest university-operated system of natural reserves in the world.
Below is a listing of the other 29 NRS reserves plus 56 others reserves
in the state and one outside the state, the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory,
with special ties to UC Berkeley. |
